Descriptions And Features Of Uni-directional Pneumatic Knife Gate Valve:
SONGO pneumatic flange knife gate valve is an industrial valve device driven by compressed air to open and close. It consists of a pneumatic actuator and a valve body. The full opening or full closing control of the fluid is achieved through the vertical movement of the gate plate . Its core features lie in compact structure, rapid response, strong corrosion resistance, and self-cleaning function. It is widely applied in industries such as coal preparation, sewage treatment, papermaking, chemical engineering, food and medicine
● The structure of the pneumatic flange knife gate valve is divided into two parts:
1). Pneumatic actuator: By driving the piston or rotating the torsion shaft with compressed air, it moves the valve stem
2). Valve body: It adopts a wedge-shaped gate design. The movement direction of the gate is perpendicular to the fluid direction, achieving full opening or full closing
● The sealing forms are divided into hard sealing (metal-to-metal) and soft sealing (metal-to-polyurethane, reinforced polytetrafluoroethylene)
● In terms of working principle, pneumatic knife gate valves are divided into single-acting and double-acting types:
1). Single-acting cylinder: relies on spring return. The valve closes when the air is open and opens when the air is cut off (normally open type). Or when the gas is off, the valve is closed; when there is no gas, the spring pushes the piston to close (normally closed)
2). Double-acting cylinder: The air path is controlled by a two-position five-way solenoid valve. When air enters from hole a, the valve closes; when air enters from hole B, the valve opens
