However, due to this structure, the leakage increases! Nevertheless, it has a strong flow capacity, low imbalance, and allows for a larger differential pressure to be used. Compared to the single-seat valve of the same diameter, it has a greater flow capacity. Therefore, it is usually particularly suitable for applications with high flow rates, large pressure drops, and significant leakage.
The electric double-seat regulating valve features a compact structure, light weight, sensitive operation, large valve capacity, precise flow characteristics, and convenient disassembly and assembly. It is widely used for precisely controlling gases, liquids, steam and other media, especially in situations where the pressure difference is large and the leakage requirement for clean media is not strict.
Working principle of the electric double-seat regulating valve:
The electric double-seat regulating valve is equipped with a servo amplifier. It is powered by a single-phase AC 220V power supply and accepts a unified 4-20mA or 1-5VDC standard signal. The current signal is converted into the corresponding linear displacement, automatically controlling the opening degree of the regulating valve to continuously adjust the process parameters such as pressure, flow, temperature, and liquid level in the pipeline.

The valve seat of the electric double-seat regulating valve has two valve cores, one on the top and the other on the bottom. The fluid flows into the valve body from the left side and passes through the valve seat and valve core before flowing out from the right side. Compared with single-seat regulating valves of the same nominal diameter, it can pass through more media and its flow capacity is approximately increased by 20% to 25%. The force exerted by the medium on the upper and lower valve cores can cancel each other out, so the unbalanced force is small and the operating pressure difference is large. However, due to the fact that the two valve cores on the upper and lower parts of the electric double-seat regulating valve are not easy to close simultaneously, the leakage is large when it is closed. But its flow capacity is strong, it allows for a larger differential pressure, and its flow capacity is greater than that of single-seat valves of the same diameter. It is suitable for occasions where leakage requirements and differential pressure are high.
