How to choose between pneumatic single-seat control valves and pneumatic sleeve control valves

With the accelerated advancement of China's industrialization, valves have become one of the most widely used products in the industrial field. The regulating valve, which controls the flow of fluids, is an extremely important component and has been applied in various industries. However, due to the special application of regulating valves, modern industry has set higher requirements for them. Therefore, choosing different regulating valves according to different process conditions is the key to controlling various process parameters. The most common pneumatic single-seat regulating valve and pneumatic sleeve regulating valve, how do we select them based on the actual working conditions? And what are the differences between them?
The main difference between the pneumatic single-seat control valve and the pneumatic sleeve control valve lies in their performance and application. However, both have their own advantages and disadvantages. The advantage of one might be the disadvantage of the other, which can complement each other and be applied in different scenarios. The difference cannot be seen from the appearance; it mainly lies in the valve cores of the two. The sleeve has an additional cover on the valve core of the single-seat valve, with many small holes on it, mainly to reduce the vibration caused by pressure difference to the valve!

The main differences are as follows:
1). In terms of sealing: The leakage of the pneumatic single-seat regulating valve is smaller than that of the pneumatic sleeve regulating valve. The sealing performance is better. The single-seat can achieve zero leakage, while the sleeve cannot.
2). In terms of diameter: The diameter of the pneumatic single-seat regulating valve is not as large as that of the pneumatic sleeve regulating valve.
3). In terms of pressure: When the pressure difference between the valve inlet and outlet is large, only the pneumatic sleeve regulating valve can be used, while the single-seat regulating valve cannot be selected.
4). In terms of application: The pneumatic single-seat regulating valve is only suitable for low flow rate applications; while the pneumatic sleeve regulating valve can effectively prevent the impact and wear of the medium on the valve seat and valve core, and is suitable for high flow rate applications.
5). In terms of performance: The sleeve regulating valve has a symmetrical arrangement of the sleeve window, and the kinetic energy of the fluid is concentrated and consumed in the center of the sleeve. The impact force generated by the vortex is weakened, so the internal components of the valve are less likely to be damaged, and the noise is relatively smaller. Therefore, it is more suitable for occasions with a large pressure difference between the valve inlet and outlet; the single-seat regulating valve has better sealing performance than the sleeve regulating valve, and is suitable for high-temperature, low-temperature, and occasions with small pressure difference between the valve inlet and outlet and high reliability and closing performance requirements.
